Rudas Baths
Healing hot springs.
Since 1934 Budapest has been known as a resort town and particularly as the capital possessing the best healing hot springs boasting a total of 118 springs. Among the many baths open to the public, the sixteenth century Rudas Baths are the oldest Turkish baths.
The octagonal room has a dome with a 10 metre diameter reposing on eight columns that is particularly impressive. Visitors can drink the spring water in the Pavilion of Fountains.
