Art treasures in Budapest.
The National Gallery of Hungary is located in buildings B, C and D of the Buda Palace and presents hundreds of thousands of art objects from the Magyare conquest to the present day.
The permanent exhibitions are the Lapidary Museum of the Middle Ages, wooden sculptures and Gothic painted panels, altarpieces illustrating several periods of late the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque art, the Palatine Habsbourg crypt and Hungarian painting and sculpture of the nineteenth century.
