The largest building in Hungary.
The permanent location of the National Assembly since 2000 and the largest building in the country, emerges from the banks of the Danube with its main entrance on Kossuth Square. The construction of this set of neo-gothic buildings occurred between 1884–1904 built to Imre Steindl's plans.
The building has a 96 metre high dome and boasts 691 rooms. Since 2000 the public can view the symbols of the Hungarian crown here - King St. Stephen's crown, the sceptre, the royal orb and the Renaissance sword.
