Buda Castle is one of the highlights of Budapest that attracts the most visitors.
This royal palace was the site of fights and battles from the 13th century onwards, and is a national symbol of Hungary. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has three churches, several buildings, monuments of historical importance and even a theatre. There are magnificent chambers inside such as the Ballroom decorated in the Baroque style and there is even a maze hidden in the cellars.
